going to faint any moment now...

i just went to the canteen to get a couple of packets of plain rice for dinner...and to my horror, they charged me 15HKD for 3 packets of rice with another additional charge of 1HKD for each packet...

i've never eaten such expensive plain white rice before...

oh wait, i take back my words. we went for a vegetarian lunch yesterday and the rice there cost 8HKD for a very small bowl.

in singapore, a packet of rice is only 50 cents...

i wonder if the hong kong government is on very bad terms with thailand or china or what...why is their rice so expensive???!!!
