a most wonderful weekend

hee...kaimin arrived on thursday with all the stuff that jo and i asked him to bring for us...very surprised to receive a big big bag packed full with everything, didn't realise that i actually asked him to bring so much...anyway, very happy to see him again...

ooh then we went tsim sha tsui where his hotel was and i went shopping!! thanks to my dear for buying me the nike bag that i've been checking out even before i came hong kong. i've been so unwilling to buy it in singapore because it costs like SGD 82 but it's cheaper by SGD 30 here!! if i don't get it now, i know i'll regret like mad when i get back to singapore.

friday and saturday were spent in the most magical place in hong kong...guess where???

did you guess correctly? yes! it's disneyland!! the world's smallest disneyland...right here, in hong kong...just a few photos here...i took like almost 300 photos, can't possibly post all. so if you want to see the photos, wait till i'm back in singapore...

the MTR to disneyland...it looks different from the normal MTR trains here, and it's indeed different...even the interior looks much prettier and unique, i have a photo but somehow, i can't seem to load it...
omg!! look at what's in the stores!! lots and lots and lots of soft toys and stuff...but, on closer inspection, you'll realise that many of the soft toys look fake, especially the pooh bears...there's no or little QC, i guess...and we took photos with the characters...there's mickey, minnie, goofy, pooh, cinderella, snow white, eeyore and many more...

this photo is to spite sharon...sharon!! i took photo with eeyore!!! haha...but no worries, i'm bringing eeyore home for you...minnie is so sweet...

i like this structure...it's snow white at the top with all the other seven dwarfs at the bottom...and our hotel room...yes, we stayed at disney hollywood hotel for a night and we got a second day entry into disneyland free...good bargain and we think it's very worth the stay there...the hotel is fabulous!! well...pardon our 'scandalous' photo...we were too excited then...and not to mention, we went for all the rides and trails there is...and we watched the disney parade twice!! haha...the stuff there are so pretty, i feel like bringing everything home...but somehow, it's too fantasy a place...after a while, after the excitement goes away, you'll realise that disneyland is just a theme park...hmm, maybe i'm like 10 or 15 years late in going there...

sunday, we went ocean park...i don't have the photos, they are all with kaimin, i'll post them when i get them...

ocean park is fun...more exciting rides (kaimin sat till he felt like vomiting and couldn't stand any more swaying motion, haha) and the dolphins, jellyfish, sealions and other fishes were amazing!! it's different from the singapore zoo where the animals are lethargic and complacent. the animals here have a larger area to move about and they seem more active...at least they are walking or swimming around and not just lying there...

hee...i think i like ocean park more than i like disneyland.

after ocean park came more shopping...for the first time since i came to hong kong, i took the 小巴, those kind of small small buses we always see on the hong kong dramas...not bad, quite smooth trip and very fast...we went to mongkok where i shopped happily at the esprit outlet...bought 3 tops for myself and 2 for huishi (not sure whether she can wear or not leh)...wanted to buy the jeans since they were like much cheaper, but don't have my size :-(

now i know why some people say esprit here is cheap while others tell me it's the same price as in singapore...it all depends on where you go...if you go to the esprit outlets where the clothes there are outdated, then it's much cheaper. if you go to the esprit boutiques in shopping centres where the clothes are more trendy, then the price is the same as in singapore...

ok...end of this entry...my dear is now at the airport, going back to singapore and i'm in hall, starting school again tomorrow...exactly 4 more weeks and i'll be back in singapore...
